M3 Junction 3 Lightwater Weekend Closures You Should Know About

They must close the bridges to fix them. The east and west routes need important repair work; the first weekend closure happens soon. This weekend, the work begins, and they will replace bridge joints then.

The west bridge closes first. It is the A322 going north, and the closure lasts from Friday night to Monday morning. It starts February 21 at 9 PM, and reopens February 24 at 6 AM. The east bridge closes the next weekend.

The east bridge is A322 southbound. It shuts down February 28 at 9 PM, reopening March 3 at 6 AM. You will need to take detours as they have planned routes for each bridge. National Highways is doing the work.

For the west bridge detour, go south on A322. Turn right onto Red Road, then take another right onto The Maultway. Turn right onto London Road, then turn right onto Grove End so you can rejoin the A322.

To get to the M3, go south on the A322, then turn right onto Red Road. Turn right onto The Maultway again, but instead, turn left onto London Road. Then, turn left onto the A331 to join the M3, using junction 4, Frimley.

During the east bridge closure, go north on the A322. Turn left onto London Road, then turn left onto The Maultway. Next, turn left onto Red Road at Gordon Boys Roundabout to rejoin Route A322. The bridge work depends on good weather.
