The M4 was closed overnight following a serious collision. One person was rushed to the hospital. The road has now reopened.

Emergency services showed up around 7:30 PM and fire crews from Dorset and Wiltshire rushed there. Police announced the closure around 8:30 PM, saying it would stay shut for quite a while but it reopened by 6:50 AM.
The ambulance service responded to a crash that happened near Royal Wootton Bassett, getting the call at 7:35 PM on March 6. They sent an ambulance and a special team, and one person went to the Royal United Hospital Bath.
The fire service went to the M4 around 7:43 PM and gave more details this morning. A van and a car crashed going eastbound and crews came from Chippenham, Yate, Temple Back, and Bath. Firefighters helped with safety, ending their work around 10:34 PM. Traffic is now moving normally again and they asked police and ambulance for more info.
