Hey, guess what happened in London today! A big fire broke out in the center of the city. People should avoid that area. A building near Tottenham Street caught fire in Fitzrovia, and smoke spread all over the skyline.

The London Fire Brigade showed up fast, sending six fire engines to help. Forty firefighters are battling the blaze, which is in a mixed-use building. It’s reportedly at a nail shop, but the fire’s cause remains unknown right now.

A guy named William lives nearby. He woke up to the smell of smoke and saw a building on fire outside, with the street full of yellow haze.

Another person, Hannah, works on that same street. She saw lots of emergency vehicles, including ambulances, as firefighters continue working hard there.

Someone called the fire brigade at 7:43 AM, and they received fourteen calls about it. Crews came from different stations, including Soho, Euston, and Islington. Half of the ground floor is on fire, and they are fighting the fire from above using a turntable ladder.
