Maldon Cafe Reopens With Fresh Look And Stunning Estuary Views

The Osea View Café in Maldon is now open again. Janie and Wilf Robinson are running the cafe, and it has a fresh, new look and feel. It is located at the Osea Leisure Park, where Tiptree Tea Rooms used to operate.

The cafe’s menu emphasizes local food, including Maldon Oysters. The relaunch features special events for Valentine’s Day, making it a perfect romantic spot. It reopened February 8, 2025.

It sits on the banks of the Blackwater Estuary, overlooking beaches near Maldon. Many say it has Essex’s best view. The cafe aims to provide great food and views, and the staff wants to make you feel welcome.

The cafe opens daily at 8:30 AM and closes around 4:00 PM. Breakfast is available all day long, while lunch starts at 12:00 PM, and afternoon tea is at 2:00 PM.

They require two days’ notice for tea bookings. The cafe has Valentine’s Day events on February 14, offering afternoon tea or a dinner, both of which must be booked in advance.
