Police arrest thirteen suspects and recover stolen property in Maldon during a four-day operation.

On February 15, police stopped hare coursing suspects in a Danbury field. They protected a vulnerable animal there. Backup came from other police teams, and they arrested all six suspects at the scene.
The next day, police spotted a suspicious car linked to thefts in Essex. They found it in Stock and searched the vehicle. Officers found many stolen goods and contacted stores, confirming thefts. Police arrested four more suspects.
On February 17, an officer found a stolen car. He used his own time for analysis, discovering the car had fake license plates. He stopped the car and arrested someone, and the police also recovered the stolen vehicle.
The crackdown continued on February 18. Officers worked with the Roads Policing Unit and stopped another car with cloned plates. It had been stolen too, and they arrested two people inside. They were linked to burglaries that happened in northern Essex.
A police leader, Paul Ballard, praised the officers. He noted their dedication to public service. He stated the work showed commitment and helped bring suspects into custody. The police also recovered stolen property.
He said Maldon is a safe district. They had fewer offenses last year, and more crimes were solved. People are less likely to be crime victims compared to the county average.
