Persimmon Homes gets permission to build 21 near zero-carbon ready houses at Punters Farm, Malmesbury.

The plans include nature gains by keeping trees and hedges. Animal boxes and paths will also be added. The developer must pay money to the community as part of their agreement.
Eight homes will go to an affordable housing group, helping Wiltshire’s housing shortage. The developer will build a new tennis club access, with plans to expand it nearby.
Malmesbury planned this housing back in 2015. Punters Farm was chosen for new homes then. The new site is near Backbridge Farm, allowing it to use the new village amenities.
These include a green, parks, and play areas. Ponds and a footbridge are already there, and they will gain ten percent more nature onsite through added new features.
The company gave money to local groups. These groups include the town carnival and the football club. They also donated to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance to support the town.
A Persimmon director said they are happy about the new homes. He mentioned that these homes would benefit from the amenities, and they are dedicated to helping the Malmesbury community. Persimmon looks forward to working with the council.
