Archer Close residents respond to drug dealing. Police increase patrols after public concerns.

Local council member Paul Bennett thanked the reporters who spoke up about the bad behavior. He said criminals exploit places that should be safe, and is glad folks told the police, as ignoring it would not solve the problem.
Bennett knew about the alleyway issues, but did not know how long it’s been a drug spot. He says police focus on local crime helps, mentioning shoplifting as another example. Police help is vital; things get worse if issues continue.
Bennett thinks people worry more now and want to stop those responsible. More police schemes like this are good. It’s awful people feel they can do this.
PC Kev Tudge discussed community teamwork to help Malvern stay safe. The public are like eyes and ears, and should report drug dealing suspicions. You can report crimes online to West Mercia Police, or call 999 for emergencies. You can also report anonymously by calling Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
