A 32 year old man from Eccleston is in custody after a hit and run left one seriously injured.

One man, in his 20s, was badly hurt and rushed to the hospital. Another man, in his 40s, suffered minor injuries. The van then quickly drove away from the scene.
Police immediately started looking into what happened. Later that morning, they found the van and arrested a 32-year-old man from Eccleston.
He was arrested for attempted murder. He also faces charges for causing serious injury by driving, as well as drink driving and drug driving charges.
Police want everyone to know they think it was a one-off incident and there is no danger to the general public. They are continuing to investigate.
A detective named Dave Little spoke about the incident, saying a man is seriously hurt. He added his thoughts are with the injured men as they receive care.
He understands people might worry but wants everyone to know the public is not in danger. He emphasized that a full investigation is actively happening and they need the public’s help to solve this.
