Omar Wilson found guilty of murdering Dubai chef Mussie Imnetu in London. His self-defense claim was rejected by the jury.

Police found the DNA on sunglasses at the scene. Wilson, age 31, lived on Napier Road. The Old Bailey court found him guilty.
Mussie Imnetu was 41. He was visiting London from Dubai. People found him unconscious on Queensway around 11:20 p.m. on August 26. Police gave first aid until paramedics arrived. Mussie later died in the hospital four days after the head injury.
Wilson claimed self-defense in the attack. The jury considered all the evidence and found him guilty of murder. After the assault, Wilson fled the area and avoided police. He went to a nightclub on Gaunt Street about ninety minutes later.
Wilson dropped sunglasses, house, and car keys. Detectives recovered his DNA on them. The keys fit his house and car perfectly. His phone data placed him at the crime scene.
CCTV showed the attack and club visit. Wilson sent texts after the killing. One said he thought he messed up badly and thought he was going to jail. Another text admitted harming someone. A friend told him to get a lawyer and suggested using his ADHD as a defense. Police arrested Wilson on August 28. His sentencing is on February 28.
