Charlie Prodromou died after an attack. The incident occurred outside a Wetherspoons in Lewisham. This happened around 8:39 pm on Saturday. He was 63 years old.

Police think there was a disturbance at The Watch House pub. Paul Tallant, aged 42, was arrested; he is from Eltham.

Tallant appeared in court at Bromley and was charged with Mr. Prodromou’s murder. He will appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday and remains in custody.

Police found Mr. Prodromou with serious injuries after being called about an assault. Paramedics also arrived to help, but he later died in the hospital.

His family knows about his death. Lewisham High Street was closed, which affected bus routes, with one bus stuck inside the police area.

Detective Chief Inspector Craig Magee spoke, noting that the crime happened in a busy area. Police want to speak with witnesses and encourage anyone with information to come forward.

Police had a presence at the scene but do not think the public is at risk. They have a suspect in custody, and their investigation continues.
