A 25-year-old man was fined for drunken disorderly conduct and abusing staff and police in Wrexham.

The police got a call about a problem outside the Ironworks pub. CCTV showed something happening there. Pub staff were holding Evans on the ground when police arrived. Officers cuffed Evans and stood him up.
He then swore at everyone nearby, calling them names using harsh language. They took him to the police car, but he did not want to get inside.
The officers used spray to control him as he got worse. He kept swearing at them in the car. Evans said he was sorry for what he did in court. He said he drank too much that night.
He said it was his first night out since December and mentioned he had a blackout. He agreed with what the prosecution said happened, although he couldn’t recall all details.
The magistrate, Ian Jones, spoke to Evans, stating that easing off alcohol slowly is wiser. He said the workers and police were doing their jobs and did not deserve Evans’ abuse.
Evans must pay money for his actions. He has a £138 fine and a £55 victim fee. He also needs to pay £85 for the prosecution costs.
