A man exhibiting odd behavior towards Emma Raducanu at a Dubai tennis event received a restraining order from Dubai police.

Raducanu seemed upset during her match, with the man in the front rows of the crowd. Security removed him from the tennis court, and she then lost to Karolina Muchova with a score of 7-6 (8-6), 6-4.
Police detained the man before Raducanu decided against pressing charges. Dubai Police said they took quick action and shared this news on social media.
The police stated that the man bothered her by leaving a note and taking her picture. His actions made her feel uncomfortable, and he must now stay away from her and is prohibited from attending future tournaments. Dubai wants everyone to be safe.
Raducanu called it a “difficult experience” and thanked people for their support in an Instagram story. She competed well despite the issue and thanked Muchova for being kind.
The WTA will ban him from events while they assess if he is a threat. They stated that player safety is a top priority and advise tournaments on security.
In 2022, a man got a five-year order after a court heard she felt unsafe at home and was “constantly looking over her shoulder.”
Amrit Magar walked to her house and stole her dad’s shoe as a souvenir. He went to her home three times, leaving gifts and cards and taking things from her porch. Her parents did not want her alone.
