Former employee searches for old coworkers from Basingstoke District Hospital for a reunion after many years.

Many young workers made lasting bonds. These people were often in their late teens. They worked closely together at the hospital. Rhodes said they lived on the hospital grounds. Nurses, doctors, and chefs lived there; pretty much everyone stayed there.
He mentioned they were about 18 or 19. They stayed connected through the years. He thought a reunion seemed like a fun idea. Some hospital workers stayed in touch. Many others moved far from the area.
Rhodes later traveled the world as a chef after his job. He traveled north to the North Pole. Also, he journeyed south to the Amazon. He really wanted to see the world.
Basingstoke was his first real job. This was after finishing chef training. He trained for two years before the hospital. He said the catering was great there. Everything they made was from scratch. They had no pre-packaged food at all. He enjoyed working there a lot.
Rhodes had a very fun time at the hospital. He is excited to see his old friends. He wants to catch up with them really soon. The reunion planning has just begun. Rhodes hopes to have it ready by summer. He wants to organize everything well.
He only keeps in touch with a few people. He is now searching for two women. They lived in Reading and Bracknell back then. He knows memories are from a long time ago. Now they likely have families and kids. A lot has certainly changed.
Rhodes asked the hospital for space. He wants them to hold the reunion. He thinks it could be a nice venue. He plans simple coffee, cake, and tea. He wants to catch up with old friends. They can all reminisce together there.
He left the hospital to see the world. So, he got a job working on ships. Life at sea turned out to be boring. He described seeing only the sea daily. It felt very dull to simply stare out. The job was not fulfilling to him.
