Omer Bhatti was attacked near a Sports Direct store in Cwmbran by three young men. Police are investigating.
One of the teens hit him very hard. Omer started to bleed from his mouth. He later shared his worries on social media.
Omer’s statement was posted on February 26th. He said three boys misbehaved at his kiosk. It was outside Sports Direct. They left, but came back soon after. The boys returned about ten minutes later. They repeated their behavior.
Omer said he would call security. One of them then hit him badly. Omer began bleeding from his mouth. The boys started to walk away. He chased them and called the police. One boy filmed him, claiming Omer hit them.
Omer said he always welcomes customers. This type of behavior made him sad. He was also feeling depressed by the event. Omer was on FaceTime with his family. The boys came and screamed in his ear. Five minutes later, they did it again.
Omer asked if they thought it was cool. He told them he would call security. One boy hit him in the face. He was left bleeding. Omer chased them. The video made it seem as if he hit them.
Omer thinks his injuries might be worse. His jaw still doesn’t work right. His mouth is swollen. He contacted his doctor but didn’t go to the hospital.
Omer thinks parents must teach respect. He believes parents don’t pay attention. Furthermore, he feels they are young adults.
Gwent Police got a report of an assault. It occurred outside Sports Direct on February 26. The time was around 5:40 pm. Three men allegedly punched a man. Police believe they were in their twenties. Officers responded, and a man got treatment for minor injuries.
