A man was seriously injured after being stabbed on Temple Street, Swindon. Emergency services responded and the area was closed to the public.

Emergency services showed up quickly and set up a cordon. This was between the Premier Inn and a building society. The hotel car park got blocked off as well, and officers searched near the hotel entrance.
Police cars and ambulances stayed inside the taped area. Police said a man got stabbed and he had serious injuries. They took him to the hospital for treatment right away. They asked people to avoid the area because the investigation is happening right now, and police are trying to catch the suspect.
An air ambulance landed at GWR Park, which is on Faringdon Road. A police car and an ambulance were there too, and this happened around the same time. It is unknown if it relates to the stabbing. The park stayed open, but paramedics couldn’t share information then.
The ambulance service spoke about it, stating that they got a call at 2 PM on Friday. They sent a land ambulance to Swindon along with an air ambulance, and an operations officer went too. The air ambulance took one patient to Southmead Hospital.
