Cameras read your license plate and record who uses drop-off spots. You don’t pay at a barrier anymore. Instead, pay by midnight the next day online or by phone. Current fees will stay the same.
You won’t pay when you leave because Manchester Airport wants things easier for you. Removing barriers speeds things up, so the process should feel seamless.
They will add the new system in phases in late March and early April. More details on those exact dates are coming later.
Frequent users can set up auto-pay, and taxis can use this for future visits. More info is coming about that too. Big signs will remind you about the new system near the drop-off areas.
