Marlow Bridge Lodge No. 8616 marks its 50th anniversary, celebrating growth and leadership within the Buckinghamshire Freemasons.

Crispin Reeve and Teddy Weaver suggested the lodge. They had titles: PPGD and PPG.Purs. Some Masons talked to Reeve and Weaver; they wanted a Marlow lodge.
These Masons used to be in London lodges. Now, they wanted a Buckinghamshire lodge. Existing Marlow lodges had long waiting lists, making a new lodge more sensible.
The top consecration leader was there that day. R.W. Bro. Sir Ralph Verney spoke. His talk explained the meeting’s aim and he wanted Freemasonry to thrive in the area.
Teddy Weaver led Marlow Bridge Lodge early on. He held the title Worshipful Master, and the lodge did well over fifty years. It became stronger yearly.
The lodge currently has thirty members. Also, it has four honorary members. Marlow Bridge is training new leaders now, and they could become the Master of the Lodge.
