Museum expands hours starting March 7th, opening Fridays in addition to other days. More volunteers needed.
The museum needs more volunteers now. They need help greeting visitors. Volunteers would work two-hour shifts. They recently hired staff for the first time. This includes a manager and designer. These roles help improve things further in two years.
Volunteers can also help with other tasks. Tasks include organizing the object collection. They can also help build school programs. February 19 will be an open day. It goes from 10 AM to 2 PM at the museum. People can meet the new manager that day.
They can ask current volunteers questions, too. The museum will be open to visit during this time. Plus, the archives will be there to help with family history.
The museum wants accreditation this year. This would show their work quality. They plan events for the upcoming lace exhibit. It starts April 5 and ends September 7, 2025. The exhibit shows lace history.
