Two 27-year-old men received suspended sentences for an affray at the Queen’s Head pub in Mold, stemming from a 2022 incident.

The crime happened May 29, 2022, when people told police about a pub problem at the Queen’s Head in Mold. CCTV showed a fight in the beer garden, revealing a disagreement between people there.
Henshaw got involved in the fight and hit a man’s head with a glass. People tried to stop the fight as Cork also got involved, swinging punches and pushing someone, making them fall down.
Before this incident, both men had no criminal record. Cork’s lawyer said he waited for sentencing and tried to rebuild his life in the meantime. Cork’s parents came to court with him; the lawyer said they are a good, hard working family.
Cork is a tree surgeon and owns his own business now. He moved to Canada for work, then he got a summons about the court case, so he quit his job and came back.
His lawyer said Canada might still have a job for him, however, his visa could be a problem, depending on his sentence. He has stayed out of trouble.
Henshaw’s lawyer said he admitted guilt quickly, adding this was unusual for him and that Henshaw feels sorry. The case took a very long time, which stressed him out, and he behaved well. His lawyer stated he has a good chance to improve.
The judge saw the video and was not impressed by their behavior. She knows they feel ashamed of what they did. The fight lasted only five minutes, but it was constant and intense, which she thinks alcohol caused because they were both drunk.
The judge considered their clean records and noted they admitted guilt early. She gave each man eight months in jail, but they don’t have to serve it right away; it is suspended for 12 months.
They don’t have to pay costs or give compensation. They must each pay a £156 victim surcharge.
