The Unicorn Centre got a nice gift. The Freemasons gave them some money. It will help them buy a new horse. The center offers riding therapy and provides training for people with special needs.

The Unicorn Centre works with disabled folks and is part of a bigger group called the Riding for the Disabled Association. Horses help improve health, both physically and mentally.

The center needs money to run, depending on donations and fundraising. It costs £250,000 each year. The Ferrum Masonic Lodge 1848 donated the money, along with other groups like FCYNER and MCF.

Jackie Rubin, who leads the Unicorn Centre, spoke about the kind gift. She said they’ll buy a ‘Unicorn,’ an addition to their horse team. Finding the right horse is very important; they want one with the right size and a good attitude, and the horse’s age matters too.

The Ferrum Lodge helps regularly, including a donation in 2019 that helped Blackberry, a mechanical horse. Martin Eggermont, part of Yorkshire North and East Ridings, is happy to support this charity and hopes the new horse helps a lot.
