Mill Farm in Manthorpe could win a Countryside Alliance Award for British food and farming.

Joy Dawson started the butcher shop in the 1970s. She wanted to sell meat from her farm, which raised the meat and poultry. The shop serves its community near Bourne. Now, Joy runs it with her daughter, Hannah Campbell.
Hannah said they are very happy they reached the finals of the award again. The shop values butcher traditions. This made people nominate them. The awards offer customers a voice to say why businesses deserve praise.
The awards received many nominations this year. Making the shortlist is a big deal. Sarah Lee directs the Countryside Alliance Awards. She said nominations were overwhelming this year. The awards honor the people in businesses and recognize hard work.
These businesses help rural areas thrive. They often don’t seek attention. The awards celebrate them. Winning businesses will represent their region, and the final event is at the House of Lords in June. Winners will be known in April.
