Man, 24, from Milton Keynes sentenced to over five years for drug possession, supply, and drug-impaired driving.

He admitted to several charges, including cannabis possession and driving with drugs in his system. Supplying cocaine and dealing heroin were also among the charges.
Police received a call on October 1, 2024, regarding a cannabis smell in a car park. Officers went to Stantonbury and found Jerushan in his car with the ignition on; the car smelled strongly of cannabis.
Police arrested Jerushan at the scene and took him into custody. Officers searched him and found wraps of cocaine and heroin, totaling almost 100 wraps.
Vasavthan stayed in custody and was charged on November 4, 2024. He then received a prison sentence of five years and seven months.
Sergeant Tyrone Powell spoke about the case, stating Jerushan justly received jail time for breaking serious laws. Powell noted that smoking cannabis impaired his driving, endangering other people.
Powell stated police will remove these drivers and feels good about catching Vasavthan, noting that the stop led to drug dealing charges. Milton Keynes CID helped convict him, and police will keep working to arrest offenders.
Powell also asks the public for help, encouraging them to share information to help them act against offenders. He advises that tips can be shared through their website.
