A man’s head caught fire after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at him outside a pub in Redcar, Yorkshire, leading to arrests.

The video shows a man talking outside. Suddenly, a petrol bomb hits him, and his head bursts into flames right away. He drops and rolls on the ground in pain, completely covered with fire.
Someone ran from a car to help him, pulling his shirt off to stop the fire. Cleveland Police made arrests, taking two men and one woman into custody in connection to the pub violence.
Three people went to the hospital with serious but non-fatal injuries, including the man hit by the Molotov cocktail. A fight inside Peggy June’s pub started it all.
A witness said it was terrifying and felt lucky no one died in the attack. Some people had liquid thrown on them inside, but luckily, it did not ignite.
The pub owner feels heartbroken and is very sorry for everyone affected. He wants people to have fun at his pub and hopes they leave with good memories.
An ambulance was called to Queen Street on February 15 to help a person injured there. They sent an ambulance, a clinical team leader, and a doctor who also helped out at the scene.
Police arrested a 33-year-old man regarding the Redcar incident at Peggy June’s Bar on Queen Street just after 8 p.m. on February 15, 2025.
A violent fight broke out inside the bar, leading to the three hospitalizations. Police also arrested a 36-year-old woman, believing she was involved in the incident too.
Police are still searching for two more men they believe were both involved. They ask anyone with information who was in the pub to contact them. Police also arrested a 37-year-old man who is a suspect for assisting an offender.
