Nepalese restaurant, Momo House, bounces back from a zero to a five star food hygiene rating after addressing safety issues.

The restaurant lacked hot water, and food hygiene standards were poor. Inspectors gave it zero stars, the lowest possible hygiene rating, which meant there was a health risk.
The restaurant closed for one week to fix things and retrain all their staff. They corrected all the serious issues, and the restaurant reopened with confidence.
Another inspection happened this February, and inspectors noticed positive changes. The business made significant improvements. Bir Chhantyal, the manager of Momo House, talked about the good news and said the new rating feels great.
Food safety was generally good there; the gas and hot water caused problems. There was also an employee misunderstanding. Staff received retraining on several topics, including safety, allergies, and food handling.
Bir said the team feels confident now and wants customers to feel confident, too. The restaurant serves Nepalese and Indian food. Bir added that customers are supportive.
Many people visit the restaurant again now. Business suffered during the closure. Bir wants to avoid problems in the future and ensure everything is done correctly.
