Service 17 doubles its trips from three to six days a week starting February 17, 2025, benefiting Moss and Lodge residents.

Starting February 17, 2025, it runs six days. It will go from Monday to Saturday. Buses leave Wrexham station every hour during the day. The bus route stays the same, connecting to several places. These include Stansty and Plas Coch Retail Park. It also goes to Moss and The Lodge.
David Bithell said the change helps people. He is a council member for housing, saying it gives better access to town and helps people reach Plas Coch.
Bithell stated the council invests in buses and improved service 17’s times. People can now reach the city center easier. He said they asked for more service to Plas Coch. The council invested £400,000 in two years, adding evening and Sunday trips.
Last year, they added an evening trip. Service 146 travels between Wrexham and Whitchurch. This helps villages like Marchwiel, Bangor On Dee and Overton benefit too. Penley also now has better access. They want buses to be a useful option, reducing the need to drive everywhere.
Mark Coates runs Wrexham & Prestige Taxis Ltd. He is happy to work with the council. They have run bus services for over ten years. The improved schedule helps many communities so they better access services they need.
