More trains increase space for travelers. Schedules change in December to add services for passengers.

Two trains are already running this week, with more coming soon. GTR will change train schedules in December, planning to add more trains for passengers.
A new morning train will depart from Crews Hill, serving all stops along the Hertford Loop Line, going through western Enfield and Haringey. Three more trains will run between King’s Cross and Letchworth. One will stop at New Barnet too.
Hertford Loop Line trains will remain at two per hour only during off-peak times, despite demands for trains every fifteen minutes.
The added trains demonstrate industry teamwork, according to a GTR director, providing extra services for passengers and assisting with pandemic recovery. A new timetable starts in December 2025.
It utilizes a large investment in the East Coast Main Line, benefiting Great Northern and Thameslink customers with more space during busy times, faster trips to London, and more evenly spaced departures.
