Warm Welcome members knitted 130 creatures with cream eggs for a Maidenhead hospice fundraiser, supporting young people.

The hospice will sell each item for £3. This supports young people with serious conditions and helps their families. The sale is part of the Big Chick Knit campaign.
Patsy Stone runs the Warm Welcome group. She said the group supports the hospice, which opened in Mortimer two years ago. The support helps with the cost of living.
Patsy Stone noted the group is inclusive, and younger members also participate. She mentioned they have many activities happening. Warm Welcome meets Fridays at a church hall from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Members enjoy games and crafts. They do chair exercises as well and work on other knitting too. Last Christmas, they knitted a nativity scene that was displayed in the church hall.
