A woman admitted to killing her 6-year-old son and attempting to murder her father on the same day in Swansea.

Karolina Zurawska is 41. She was charged with murder and attacking her dad, Krzysztof Siwi, who is 67. She went to court in Swansea and admitted manslaughter and attempted murder. The prosecutor said her pleas are okay.
The court heard something important. Three doctors studied her and said she had a mental illness: paranoid schizophrenia. She had it when this all happened. She was in a mental hospital called Llanarth Court. Now, they will move her to Caswell Clinic.
Her next court date is April 25 for sentencing. Police went to the house in September after neighbors called because they were scared. Officers found Alexander hurt badly. He had a neck injury and lost a lot of blood.
A doctor checked Alexander’s body. The cause of death was a neck injury caused by something sharp. His family said he was a kind child after his sad death. He liked playing with his sister and loved playing with his dog, Daisy.
Alexander behaved well and was never naughty, they said. He was smart for his age and knew many facts. He helped with cooking and cleaning. He knew English and Polish and corrected his parents’ English, for which they were very grateful.
The headteacher, Bethan Peterson, spoke about Alexander. She said they are very sad. Alexander was a nice boy, determined and positive. Everyone loved him. Staff and kids will miss him and the school will give support to those who need it.
