A mom died after a stabbing on Notting Hill family day. Her three-year-old daughter was there. Cher Maximen, who was 32, got knocked down when a fight broke out on August 25 last year.

Shakeil Thibou, age 20, is on trial. He tried to stab Adjei Isaac, but instead, he stabbed Cher in her groin. Adjei barely survived because he moved away. Cher died in the hospital six days later.

Shakeil denies murder and attempted murder. He also denies having a knife. His brothers also face charges. Sheldon Thibou is 25, and Shaeim Thibou is 22. They are accused of being involved in the fight.

The violence started around 5:48 pm, according to prosecutor Ed Brown KC. The defendants fought with two other men. A police officer, PC Oliver Mort, tried to stop them.

Sheldon attacked the officer with Shaeim. Sheldon had a stun gun while Shakeil used a huge knife. He repeatedly stabbed toward Adjei’s stomach. Adjei moved back, escaping the blows.

Cher got knocked down during the fight as Adjei tried to avoid Shakeil’s knife. He bumped into Cher, and she simply got caught in the middle.

After falling, Cher grabbed Shakeil’s coat and tried to hit him. The court heard that he lifted the zombie knife and stabbed her in the groin. Shakeil ran off with his brothers while Cher fell to the ground injured.

Shakeil is from Hammersmith, Sheldon is from Fulham, and Shaeim is from West Kensington. Sheldon and Shaeim deny violent disorder. They also deny assaulting the police officer. The trial is still happening.
