Murrayside hosts monthly café for carers to chat, share experiences, and get support in a welcoming space.

It’s a friendly space for carers to chat and share experiences openly. They want to give carers a break where you can enjoy drinks and treats in a welcoming and relaxed place.
You can get support and guidance there, asking questions about your concerns. Your loved one can enjoy activities, as the team does reminiscence and Namaste.
The café talks well-being assessments, too, and you can meet other carers and share. The first session focused on Namaste Care, explaining its benefits to everyone.
Team members are trained for Namaste Care, which helps residents with advanced dementia. They use senses and emotions to engage, offering hand massages, music, and chatting to encourage them to share memories.
Murrayside wants a strong community feel, aiming to positively impact locals by building support systems and a happy space. They hope everyone feels at home and that no carer should feel alone. They want to welcome new folks to chat over tea and cake, aiming to offer needed support.
Murrayside gives residential, nursing, and dementia care. It helps residents live full lives and promotes their independence, too. They have a cinema and salon, with a café and Namaste rooms on site.
