Five abandoned Labrador dogs are seeking loving homes after being discovered near Stanton Fitzwarren.

Andrew and Toni Kirsopp helped get four dogs. They said the dogs smelled awful, and their fur was also matted. The Swindon Council is working on the case.
They checked the dogs for microchips. Four dogs had no chip or a blank one. One chip had info linking to Swansea, Wales.
The dogs are now at a livery yard. Some people who found them are caring for them. Rescue centers want to find them permanent homes.
Andrew said the dogs are doing better together. They weren’t toilet trained and likely, they were used for breeding. They were left in a building.
One older dog has health problems. Someone with rescue dog experience will check him. People are interested in a younger female dog; they want good homes for the traumatized dogs.
They got some donations for the dogs. They welcome more help, like donations or grooming.
Swindon Council wants to reunite the dogs with their owner. A yard owner saw a van with barking dogs that left a fly-tipping area. Police have not confirmed this.
