Plans submitted for a new agricultural barn at Weterton House Farm, Sedgefield, replacing current open storage.

The barn will have green metal walls and its roof will use grey cement sheets. It will sit on a concrete base. The area covers about 0.10 hectares.
They aren’t changing roads or walkways, and parking will stay the same. People can see the site from the road, however, the site is not at risk of flooding.
Rainwater will drain into the ground. The barn should not harm trees, and hedges also should be safe. Protected animals won’t be hurt, and preserved land features stay unaffected.
They calculated biodiversity gains. Before the barn, the area’s value was 0.09. The barn adds space for farm use. This new space is 313.64 square meters.
They will not designate areas for waste, and they don’t know how they will handle sewage. No new jobs will come from the project. They also won’t use dangerous materials.
The applicant told owners about the plan. He told the farm’s tenants, too.
