Benenbrini, a new South African restaurant, opens in Bournemouth, serving authentic meals from two partnered couples.

Larissa and Matteo Settembrini teamed up with Rudolph and Kerry Benadie. Together, they created Benenbrini. “Benenbrini” blends their last names, and the “en” means “and.”
Benenbrini started as a biltong shop nearby. Its owners want to give Bournemouth “something different”. Rudolph used to make biltong at home.
Larissa says few Bournemouth spots offer fresh South African food. Their first shop opened last August, and people wanted more hot food options then.
Rudolph said a restaurant seemed logical next. Larissa said their first weekend was great. It was very busy with happy customers.
Benenbrini already has regular customers. Rudolph says some know them, while others are new to the restaurant itself.
The team still sells South African products. Larissa calls it more of an artisan shop where you can buy ingredients to cook at home.
They also want to create a community hub. They hope people experience South African food together. Rudolph said everyone is welcome.
The site applied for an alcohol license. They also want a music license, and they requested sales and music from 7 AM to 9 PM daily.
