Iceland Foods’ Food Warehouse launched in Thornbury, creating 14 jobs. Early shoppers won prizes!
The store gave away vouchers to celebrate the opening. The first 100 customers got £1,000 in vouchers, and the first 200 received Ferrero Rocher chocolates. Folks who lined up before 7:45am also got raffle tickets.
Three people won a Tower Panini Press, while seven others got a Tower 4 Litre Air Fryer. Five shoppers won a trolley dash, filling trolleys for free in 90 seconds.
Joshua Martin manages the store and said shoppers were excited. People queued from 4am, and Kristian Barrett, a retail director, is happy about the new store.
The Food Warehouse started in 2014. These stores are bigger than Iceland shops and look like warehouses, featuring wide aisles and big spaces.
The store has multi-buy deals and exclusive ranges, including Slimming World. Other brands available are Cathedral City, TGI Fridays, and more. The Iceland Bonus Card app has more offers. The store opens 8am to 10pm, Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
