The New Forest District Council finished some shelter work. They worked at Barton Cliff, Hordle Cliff, and Milford on Sea. They fixed structures and added fresh seating.

Accessibility features got included in the upgrades. Also, the council updated the shelter designs. These shelters are really important community spots where people can relax and enjoy the beautiful coast.

The upgrades mean safer, welcome, and accessible shelters. The shelters give cover during bad weather too. This supports the catering places along the seafront.

They plan to add information boards to each shelter soon. These boards will share local details including geology, history, and community facts. They will also list nearby facilities. The council anticipates finishing this later this year.

Before starting work, they asked locals for their views. A short online survey helped the council understand needs. They got 722 responses in total. These responses helped guide the shelter improvements.
