The council is telling locals about coming changes. These changes will begin in June 2025. This is phase one of the new waste service. The service will launch in three phases, starting this summer.

Soon, you will get a letter with details on new waste collections. Key dates are included, along with support info for eligible households. Councillor Blunden said the information will help residents get ready, as dates and guidance will be provided, and residents can access support if needed.

The council asks you to read the letter and the leaflets closely. Sign up for email updates online to stay informed. From June 2025, the council will switch to wheelie bins for trash and recycling for people in phase one.

A new weekly food waste collection is coming, utilizing food waste caddies. Bins and caddies will arrive between April 14 and June 6 for phase one residents only. Don’t use them until June 2025, and wait until the new service actually starts.
