Royal Wootton Bassett’s New Road Park is now open after refurbishment. New equipment and soft ground are added.

Work was set for early January 2025, but bad weather caused delays. Storms brought rain, snow, and ice. New reopening dates came in February, and the park stayed closed longer than expected. Kids waited patiently for it to reopen.
The park is now open again! Wootton Bassett Infant School pupils were first; they got to try all the new equipment. Mayor Pat Farrow joined the pupils and cut the ribbon on February 13, 2025. This marked the park’s official opening.
The park has new things for kids, including a toddler swing set and a see-saw. A climbing frame with a slide is also there. There’s also a four-way see-saw and noughts & crosses.
Parents have a new bench. Soft ground and musical panels are included. The Town Council shared that work started on January 21, 2025, and finished recently. They welcome visits soon.
