The bar has runway views and holds up to 330 people. It reopened before the school break, showcasing a fresh layout.
Wooden panels and murals decorate the inside, displaying North East landmarks. You can choose different seats, from booths to tables, while enjoying views of the airfield.
Dean Ward, an airport employee, said Bar 11 is very popular. He is happy about the changes today, citing its stylish design and great views.
Passengers can relax before their flight, enjoying tasty food and drinks. The bar fits well with other eateries, and the airport hopes people visit Bar 11 soon.
They serve breakfast and all-day menus, with kids menus available. You can get pie or fish and chips, or try their breakfast roll or chicken skewers.
They also offer veggie and plant-based food, including gluten-free dishes. Curry and a plant-based breakfast are additional options.
Airport staff and SSP celebrated Bar 11’s reopening with a ribbon-cutting. Cathy Granby, from SSP, highlighted their long partnership.
They invested in Bar 11’s update, and Aster & Thyme opened last year. With Starbucks and Burger King also available, passengers can find something they like.
