A man and boy are charged with attempted murder after an assault in Newport. Police seek public assistance.

A twenty-year-old Newport man faces charges including criminal damage and drug dealing. He also had an offensive weapon at home, and the court held him in custody. He appeared before Newport Magistrates on March 8th.
A seventeen-year-old boy appeared in court too on Friday, March 7th. He faces attempted murder charges, criminal damage, drug dealing, and obstructing justice. He possessed a knife in public as well, and they held him in custody.
A nineteen-year-old man got released on bail as police will investigate more. Another nineteen-year-old man was released, and police took no further action against him. A thirty-six-year-old man sustained injuries in the Caerleon Road assault and the hospital discharged him around 12:55 am on Saturday.
