Police operation in Newport targets illegal off road biking, resulting in arrest and bike seizures in Gwent area.

Police took an electric motorbike in Alway because someone drove it without insurance. They also found a possibly stolen e-bike in Lliswerry.
A man got arrested in Ringland because police suspected him of supplying cocaine. Officers stopped and searched this man, and he was later released on bail while the investigation continues.
The operation happened on February 18th and 19th, which was a Tuesday and Wednesday. PC Thomas Gardner, who manages the Alway neighborhood, spoke about the issue.
He knows bikes affect communities, and people often complain about illegal bikes. These bikes are often electric or off-road models driven illegally on the roads.
Police will keep doing these operations in Newport and Gwent to find where people use and store bikes. Then, police can seize the bikes and identify reckless riders.
Police ask people to report illegal off-roading by calling 101 or using social media. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.
