Newport Pubs Shine as Finalists in Prestigious Community Awards

Pub awards honor amazing pubs. They also recognize people supporting locals. They fundraise and boost sports. They champion green practices too. They greatly help people’s lives.

Organizers say the competition was tough. They appreciate the spirit shown by pubs. Local communities need these pubs a lot.

Award categories include Community Support Hero, Fundraising and Sport Hero. Plus, they have Regular Hero and Sustainability Hero.

George and Dragon made the Support list. Tafarn yr Iorwerth made that list too. White Lion completes the Support finalists. King’s Head Inn is a Fundraising finalist, and The Yacht also joined the Fundraising nominee list. Pill Harriers is a Sport Hero’s finalist alongside Riverside Sports Bar.
