Gavin also performs as Georgina Sparks, a drag queen. The money aids inclusive celebrations. Darlington Pride is August 9th to 11th. It is a key town event.
The festival includes shows and parades. Community activities happen too, and they promote diversity. Many local groups support it.
Primary sponsor Cummins Inc helps. The Police & Crime Commissioner also helps. Councilor James Coe appreciates Nisa Local’s support. The £1,000 helps the 2025 event, adding to the council’s budget.
The events team plans many free events and welcomes sponsor help. Fun events will happen downtown. Kash Retail used MADL’s Pride Pot for this. Nisa retailers support LGBTQ+ groups with it, and each group gets £1,000. It started in 2023.
Kevin Polley manages Nisa Local operations. A penny goes to the fund when you buy Nisa products. He’s happy to support the event locally.
Kate Carroll heads Nisa’s charity work. The Pride Pot aids LGBTQ+ events. She is glad KASH Retail supports Darlington Pride, and they are doing it in a big way.
