Hey, listen to this! Bacton had a big internet and phone problem. Four hundred thirteen homes lost service for thirteen days. People who live and work there are angry. They feel like no one cares.

It all started February 19th. An older driver hit a connection box. The impact sent it flying into a field. The box sits on Mill Common Road. Openreach hasn’t fixed it yet. That means nearly two weeks of no service.

The Poachers Pocket pub is also struggling. It’s near the damaged box, only 150 meters away. The manager, Ahed Kaboul said they lost money. People can’t call to make bookings.

Craig Winchester, a Bacton resident, thinks it’s too long. Older folks rely on landlines too. He believes London would be fixed fast. He feels Bacton is ignored.

Julie and David Sparkes work from home. They also face problems due to this. Julie has a care agency. She cares for people with brain injuries. They can’t do basic things right now.

Openreach works with many providers. Sky, Vodafone, TalkTalk, and EE use them. Openreach installs and repairs the network. These actions are done for the providers listed. People contacted Openreach for a comment.
