The event happens yearly, honoring Lady Olave Baden-Powell’s birthday. She was the first Chief Guide, born in 1889.

Girls in Girlguiding speak out on this day to discuss problems that affect them. They also raise money for causes they care about, and learn about different countries while exploring different cultures.

World Thinking Day happens every February and has been celebrated since 1926. Over ten million girls participate globally in Girl Guide and Girl Scout groups.

Girlguiding Ayrshire North celebrated the day with a fun county event. Over 390 members joined different activities, ranging from learning about space to playing sports like rugby and basketball.

They also watched a special show featuring a Taylor Swift tribute, where members sang and danced together. Thea, a Brownie, said Thinking Day was really fun, explaining that they played rugby and made bracelets. They also learned a cheer routine, working with other groups, including Rainbows, Brownies, and Guides.
