Road improvements cause closures and restritions in Irvine, Kilwinning and Largs. Plan your journeys accordingly.
In Irvine, the A78 footpath closes soon. It goes from Booker to Meadowhead Avenue. The closure starts February 24th at 9 AM and ends March 14th at 5 PM. They are doing improvement work.
Morar Place car parks also close. They will be closed until February 28th at 6 PM. They need to improve the road and parking bays.
In Kilwinning, Bannoch Road North closes. It goes from Bannoch Place to Old Glasgow Road junction. This happens February 26th to 28th, daily from 8 AM to 6 PM. They are improving the road there, too.
A detour exists while it’s closed. It uses Bannoch Road and Fergushill Road. It also uses Bridgend and the B778 Old Glasgow Road. You can use that route in both directions.
In Largs, Moorburn Road has restrictions. This is between numbers 24 and 36. This happens on February 24th from 9:30 AM to 6 PM. Scottish Water works there with iron.
Tron Place has waiting restrictions too. This is from February 25th at 8 AM to February 28th at 4 PM. It’s between Aitken Street and number 6, affecting only the south side. They are renewing signs there.
