Popular event’s return offers seed potatoes, advice, and fun for gardening enthusiasts.

People can get fresh potatoes and veggies. This year, they have over 40 seed potato options. They also have onion sets ready to plant, and a seed swap lets you trade.
Experts give advice, and even a small contest and a cafe will be there. The event is at North Kessock Village Hall on Saturday, March 1, from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
Entry costs £1; kids enter free. Each potato costs 20p, so bring coins. Remember to bring bags to carry purchases and a pencil.
Transition Black Isle organizes this. They want people aware of food miles, and growing your own helps the environment. They also offer a seed swap stall for visitors, allowing you to share unwanted seeds or donate for seeds you want.
Potatoes also appear at markets later in March. Check Cromarty on March 8. Find them in Culbokie on March 15. Lastly, North Kessock has them on March 29, with extra potatoes going to schools and charities.
