Torridge Council offers free Northam Burrows activities for families this half term. Discover nature!

A council member says these events are excellent. Families can learn about the Burrows area, discovering creatures that live there too. All activities are free of charge; enjoy fresh air, fun, and new knowledge.
Go to the Northam Burrows Visitor Centre on February 18 at 2 PM to learn all about owls, seeing a fascinating look at owl pellets. Also, discover the Devon Harvest Mouse Project from 2 PM to 4 PM, meeting some adorable mouse ambassadors and even making a mouse finger puppet.
Join rangers for a Rockpool Ramble on February 20 at the beach near Westward Ho! Slipway between 2 PM and 4 PM. Discover creatures hidden in rockpools; look during low tide with your family.
There is a beach clean on February 15 with Plastic Free Torridge and Burrows rangers. Meet at the Westward Ho! Slipway at 10:30 AM.
No booking is needed for these activities, but kids must have an adult with them. Remember to wear good clothes and shoes, and bring snacks and water if you get hungry. Visit the council website for all details.
