A Northwich man admitted to possessing indecent images and faces potential jail time after a police investigation.

Fatima went to court on February 18 and pleaded guilty to six crimes. An interpreter helped him speak in court. He said he possessed child abuse pictures, which happened between 2014 and 2022.
Fatima admitted to more charges, making a category C image in 2017 and 2024. He also made and shared a category A image in 2023. Plus, he made a category B image back in 2012.
He also possessed very graphic images involving people and animals between 2012 and last April. The prosecutor said Fatima stayed silent when questioned, noting he might face three years in jail.
Fatima’s lawyer agreed to sentencing at a higher court, and the court requested a pre-sentence report. The judge, Dr. Baird, granted Fatima conditional bail, stipulating he cannot be alone with kids without permission.
He also must register as a sex offender and tell police about address or phone changes within 24 hours. His sentencing is set for April 1 at the crown court.
