A bug themed trail near Helmsley lets kids explore nature, play games, and learn through fun activities this half-term.

The trail has a bug theme. Activities include web weaving and woodworm Jenga. Kids can even guess a clusterfly’s favorite smell.
Sarah Nolan works at Nunnington Hall. She said they are excited to share this theme. The team helped create fun activities.
Kids will enter the bug world. They can have family fun, learn about nature, and learn about conservation.
Kids can have fun outside all half-term. They can see Nunnington’s garden and learn about composting. The kids can also visit the bird area and play in the Lion’s Den.
The tearoom will have food such as pies, scones, jam, and coffee. Kids can pick five items, choosing from sandwiches, crisps, and fruit. Chocolate and drinks will also be available.
There is a new exhibit at the house called “Threaded Landscapes.” Nicola Harper, a textile artist based in York, made it.
Nunnington Hall opens February 15th, and the half-term fun begins then. It is open daily until February 23rd from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with last entry at 3:00 PM.
Admission costs apply as usual: adults pay £12, kids pay £6, and a family ticket costs £27.50.
National Trust members and kids under five get in free. More information is at www.nationaltrust.org.uk/nunnington-hall.
