The North Yorkshire Moors Railway introduces a new trail featuring 40 activities, celebrating 200 years of railways.

They want people to explore their railway as part of that big national celebration. This trail has about 40 fun things to do, and they made it for families and train lovers.
You can do things like find old clocks or get your ticket clipped aboard. Try sitting in a goods wagon and look for Highland cows nearby at Levisham.
Also, draw a springtime picture for a contest or count steps in the Grosmont tunnel. Walk the Cinder Track from Whitby for cool views; they have a checklist online, too.
There’s a 200 Mile Challenge as well where you track your train trips. It lets you enjoy railway history, and they have a guide to download for this.
The guide helps log your journeys as you go from places like Pickering to Whitby. The point is to experience the trains and enjoy the sights and sounds.
Plus, there’s a Pixie Trail in Pickering with Visit Pickering. Families explore with a digital trail where you’ll meet virtual pixies, how fun!
It starts on March 29, and events will happen throughout the day. You can join in at any time that day, beginning at 10 AM and ending at 3 PM.
This 200 Trail runs all spring and offers a chance to see the Moors. Also, you can celebrate railway history; check out the NYMR website for more.
